Bombay Sapphire GQ Magazine USBG Most Imaginative Bartender Rhode Island

The fifth annual Bombay Sap­phire GQ USBG Most Imag­i­na­tive Bar­tender Pro­gram’s Rhode Island competition was held in Boston on July 30, 2013. Bombay Sapphire, GQ Magazine and the United States Bartenders Guild (USBG) present the pro­gram to “cel­e­bra­te of the art of bar­tend­ing and the cre­ative process” giving center stage to one national winner. Each state hosts a competition where its winner goes to compete to the finals in Las Vegas. Jason Kindness of Newport won the Rhode Island competition with following cocktail:

Drink Name: Jane Pickens

Recipe:

2.5 oz. Bombay Sapphire

.75 oz. Pimms

.50 oz. lime cordial 

1 oz fresh lime juice

Splash simple syrup

.25 oz. homemade lavender bitters

Shake/strain over ice. Candied lavender spear garnish.
